The International Association of Scholarly Publishers, Editors and Reviewers (IASPER)  conducted the International Conference on Business, Education, Engineering and Sciences (ICBEES 26) in November 25-28, 2016 at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeriah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates with the participations from different colleges and universities in UAE, Qatar, Oman, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia.

The conference was held under the theme

“Business, Education, Engineering and Sciences Research:

Addressing Challenges, Integrating Disciplines and Strengthening Collaborations.”

With the objectives: (1) to promote academic integrity in research and publication; (2) to disseminate research results for greater utilization; (3) to foster collaboration among researchers in the development of researches in business, education, engineering and sciences.

The event was organized by the International Association of Scholarly Editors, Publishers and Peer

Reviewers (IASPER). The International President of IASPER is Dr. Djuwari, Director, Language Laboratory, STIE Perbanas, Surabaya Indonesia.

Two students from Business department at Al Ain Campus; Mr. Abdullah Ali Al Harmoudi and Mr. Ali Abdulrahman had the honour to represent KIC at the conference through presenting their accepted papers. KIC supervising faculty members Dr. Liza M. Gernal (BBA AA) and Dr. Ayman Alarmoti (BBA AA) have also attended the conference and participated in its activities.


Mr. Abdulla Ali Al Harmoudi presented the paper Manpower Training as an Aid to Management in Business Enterprises Student Research Paper in absentia of Mr. Abdullah Al Ameri. Mr. Harmoudi was applauded as he is the only undergraduate student who have presented an Internship Project in the group of academic researchers. The paper highlights the importance of training-needs analysis to improve the quality of services offered by employees of Ministry of Interior in United Arab Emirates in preparation of Emiratization of the workforce.

Dr. Ayman Alarmoti from Al Ain presented a paper regarding the effectiveness of social media and online sources as a collaborative and effective learning tool are explored to complement the training and development programs within the company. The social media tools that can be used to create interactive, online, company-limited, virtual spaces, which is extremely collaborative and group operated thus increasing a sense of camaraderie among the peers. This creates a sense of interest among the users and helps to anchor them to reality of the workplace and thus, increasing productivity and innovation. This is in consonance with the UAE E-government.

All papers that were presented will be published and index in CrossReff, Google Scholar, PEJ, and EBSCO.

The event ended up successfully with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between International Association of Multi-Disciplinary Research (IAMURE) and Al Khawarizmi International College. The MoU intends to enhance research collaboration to continually seek to define and develop multi-disciplinary research, encompassing all fields of expertise and endeavours for the improvement of education and the workforce. It was signed by VP Scientific Research Prof.Dr. Mohammed Saeed (KIC) and IAMURE President Dr. Genaro Japos.
