Dr. Hamzeh Awad, Associate Professor in Health Science at KIC, his recent achievements in Research and International Conferences from Aug 2016 to December 2016 as the following:

Conference Co-chair and guest speaker at Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Healthcare Recruitment & Training Fair, UAE. The conference held on 24th October 2016. He presented the role of WHO-international classification of functioning, disability and health in rehabilitation and presented the model Disability Rehabilitation and Education Alliance in Metabolic Disorders (DREAM): A Prototype for Interdisciplinary Team in Metabolic Disorders. Dr. Hamzeh is the founder of DREAM model as it is considered the first of its type in rehabilitation field.

Also, he was appointed as a Co-chair and guest speaker on clinical diabetes and diagnostic approaches endocrinology, patient-oriented care management and advanced technology (eHealth) for diabetes treatment at 15th global diabetes and obesity conference, held during November 14-15, 2016. The conference was organized by the University of Florida, USA and took place in Dubai, UAE. Dr. Hamzeh was appointed as committee chair for choosing the best abstract in the conference in addition to his participation as a remarkable speaker in Tele-Health and Diabetes prevention and management.

Furthermore, he presented the role of eHealth and Tele-monitoring in diabetes prevention at pathology conference, organized by Cleveland clinic, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Dr. Hamzeh has successfully published an article related to diabetes prevention challenges in Arabic region: a call to action addressing the cultural context and eHealth in Current Research in Diabetes & Obesity Journal 1 (3):CRDOJ.MS.ID.555561 December 2016.
